How Blackfalds Bucks Work and Where to Redeem Them
Reminder to Cash in your Blackfalds Bucks!
They are cash equivalent and can be redeemed only at business participating in the Passport to Christmas.
Treat them like cash and give real cash back if the purchase is less than the buck amount.
Contact us for reimbursement of the bucks. We generally give cash for amounts less than $200 and a cheque if over that.

Contact the Chamber by email if you require an amount over $200
Go to Blackfalds Chiropractic and they will reimburse you for the smaller amounts. We recommend you email them first at [email protected]

Shawna is a dedicated advocate for social and community welfare, leveraging her academic background and professional experience to uplift and empower others. With a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, her passion for understanding societal dynamics fuels her commitment to service. Currently, Shawna serves as the Executive Director for the Central Alberta Victim and WitnessSupport Society, where she leads efforts to provide crucial support to those in need.
Qualifications & Experience
Her journey in service extends beyond her current role. Shawna has actively volunteered her time with the Police Advisory Committee for Blackfalds and Red Deer County, where she collaborates with law enforcement agencies and community members to address local safety concerns and promote community well-being. Her contributions to these committees highlight her dedication to fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

In addition to her volunteer work with the Police Advisory Committees, Shawna is deeply involved with various organizations that focus on community safety and well-being. Whether it’s supporting victims of crime, advocating for vulnerable populations, or promoting proactive measures for community resilience, Shawna’s commitment to creating safer and healthier environments is evident in her diverse volunteer engagements.
With a rich background that includes operational stints with both the Lacombe Police Service and RCMP as a telecommunications operator, Shawna brings a depth of understanding to her work. Her administrative expertise further enhances her ability to navigate complex challenges and ensure effective support systems are in place.

As a proud mother of three boys and a golden doodle, Shawna understands the importance of fostering strong communities. Beyond her professional endeavors, she finds joy in her personal pursuits, particularly her love for baseball and her nine-year dedication as a Jazzercise instructor. Through these passions, she not only finds fulfillment but also instills a sense of empowerment in those she interacts with.
