Kevin Hallet PresidentKevin was born and raised in Red Deer. He moved to Calgary in 2001 to complete a commerce degree at the University of Calgary. After graduating he started his career in the insurance industry working for ING Insurance as an underwriter.
In 2005 he moved back home to Red Deer to work for Ing & McKee Insurance as a broker. In February of 2013 a new branch of Ing & McKee was opened in Blackfalds and Kevin accepted the position of manager at the new office.
Kevin is an avid baseball and hockey fan and enjoys rec sports such as slo-pitch and volleyball. He and his wife moved to Blackfalds in December 2013 and welcomed their first child into the world in July 2014. Kevin first became involved with the Chamber in 2013 and is now in his first term as President for the Chamber.
Melissa Delaronde - Vice President
Born and raised in Edmonton Alberta, Melissa and her family have been proud to call Central Alberta home since 2006. After graduating from Grant MacEwan University with a diploma in Human Resource Management, Melissa’s career path followed suit with various Customer Service driven positions in both the Oil & Gas and Service Industries. With a passion for Real Estate, as well as buying, renovating and selling numerous properties of her own. Melissa obtained her Real Estate Licence joined Coldwell Banker OnTrack Realty in 2018.
Melissa is an active member in the community and has gained significant knowledge of Land Use Bylaw’s as well as current and upcoming developments through her term on the Municipal Planning Commission for the City of Red Deer in 2016.
Over the years, Melissa has sat on multiple boards and became involved with the Blackfalds & District Chamber of Commerce in 2018. She is currently in her first term as Vice President for the Chamber.
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys home renovation projects, reading, travelling, as well as spending time with her husband, two children and dog.
Alvin Melton - TreasurerAlvin is from Pincher Creek, and has lived in Blackfalds since 2015. He finished his educational career by obtaining his master’s degree, and he now owns Granden Auto, on Broadway Avenue. Granden Auto has been a chamber member through Alvin for 3 years, but Alvin became more involved with the chamber over the course of this past year, where he has found himself to be the treasurer.
Alvin enjoys spending his free time playing golf, as well as skiing. He also enjoys travelling as well as music and building things!
This is Alvin’s first term as the treasurer.
